“Keeping Faith, Transforming Tomorrow”

10-13 November 2020

JOIN THE CONFERENCE – LIVE

The first Assembly of its kind entitled Keeping Faith, Transforming Tomorrow will focus on the nexus of gender, faith and diplomacy, and will be co-convened in Lindau, Germany, with the Foundation Peace Dialogue of the World Religions and Civil Society (Ring for Peace), and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office (Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

This opportunity will provide a unique platform to diverse stakeholders from the media, diplomatic corps, civil society, academia, and international development sectors.

The convening will equip faith-inspired women and men, youth cohorts, and multi-religious communities, with knowledge and analysis, connectivity and narratives, linking religions to peace and security, sustainable development, and human rights.

The Assembly will identify challenges, nuance responsibilities, and showcase successes in peacebuilding, international relations, as well as sustainable development.

Diplomacy in this context will shed light on informal structures and multiple strategies of negotiation and mediation, in which many women of faith often play essential roles to build peace, advance human development and uphold and protect human rights.

Don’t miss the “Wells of Hope” documentary!

Thursday 12 November at 11.30 there will be a screening of the documentary “Wells of Hope” directed by Lia Giovanazzi Beltrami (Religions for Peace representative to FAO in Rome and AHGINGOS member) and produced by Aurora Vision with a discussion with the audience!

JOIN THE CONFERENCE – LIVE

“The day we left Syria, the bombings were as strong as rain …”. Hence the story of Shaima, fleeing the war, kidnapped as a victim of trafficking. Is there still hope? You cannot live without it.

Among stones, deserts, mountains and dust, a group of brave Arab women gives life to Wells of Hope, to give answers to the drama of trafficking, together with the worldwide network Talita Kum. They are women of different religions who live in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria. They move between borders, conflicts and refugees. They want to restore the dignity of the victims and rebuild the dignity of the abused people. The path is not easy, but the determination of these women will open a new way.
