FAO launches Food Coalition to lift food access, sustainable agri-food systems
The COVID-19 crisis has demonstrated the urgent need for global coordinated collective action to avoid precipitous acts that can add the compounding effects of food crisis to those of the pandemic and recession. To this aim, FAO is launching the Food Coalition; a multi-stakeholder alliance for a unified global action in response to COVID-19.
The Food Coalition will be an advocate for strengthening agri-food systems around the world and will raise awareness, mobilize financial resources and technical expertise, and source innovation and knowledge in support of the countries most in need.
