This year mark the tenth anniversary of the formal establishment of the FAO’s Global Soil Partnership (GSP): 2012-2022.
Looking back at 2012, the GSP has fulfilled its mission to put soil on the global agenda, from promoting sustainable soil management to improving soil governance for healthy and productive soils around the world.

ONE VISION, JOINT ACTIONS - Bringing different strenghts to mobilize civil society, governments, FAO, WFP, IFAD.
Over 200 CSOs have formal status at FAO. Feeling the need for a common strategy and seeing the advantages of combined effort, the organizations with representatives in Italy established the Ad Hoc Group of International Non Governmental Organizations with formal status with FAO. The committee meets regularly to share joint positions and to coordinate activities with FAO.
