On 22nd April 2021 will take place the the second edition of the Global 24-hour Digital Marathon on Sustainability titled “Food For Earth” organized by the Future Food Institute and the FAO e-learning Academy.
UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia will join a panel discussion titled “Il Soft Power della Dieta Mediterranea: stile di vita per lo sviluppo sostenibile” and focused on the Mediterranean diet, together with many other experts in the field of food security and beyond: Mr. Antonio Parenti, Head of the European Commission Representation in Italy; Prof. Angelo Riccaboni of PRIMA Foundation; Mr. Grammenos Mastrojeni of Unione per il Mediterraneo; Prof. Elisabetta Moro of MedEatResearch; President of the Future Food Institute Ms. Sara Roversi; and Mr. Stefano Pisani, Mayor of Pollica.
The city of Pollica plays an instrumental role, not only with regards to Future Food but also within the Marathon, as the entire event of 22 April will be broadcasted from Pollica, UNESCO Capital and Emblematic Community of Mediterranean Diet and also city of “Climate Shapers”. On the same day, the city will symbolically organize an agenda of activities aimed at involving schools and the citizenry within environmentally-friendly initiatives (in the line with COVID-19 security measures).
