Against the background of the interdependence of gender equality and food security, it is worrying that strategies and policy documents intended to provide answers to the global hunger crisis still do not systematically include gender-specific aspects. The CARE report “Hunger response policies continue to ignore gender analyzed 86 food security documents. 47% of them do not mention gender injustice at all. This applies in particular to documents relating to politics and financial support. The most important recommendations are summarized on page 3.
